“Work for a cause, not for applause” – this is the motto of Confluence, the annual business fest of BMS VES College of Arts, Science and Commerce.

Every year, this fest is based on a socially relevant theme, and this year, the team of Confluence has selected the theme of “Cause Marketing” for the event.

Over the years, Confluence has worked towards sensitizing people about a variety of social themes. This year’s theme of Cause Marketing is a concept adopted by organisations, where they work for profits by contributing towards a social cause, often in partnership with a non-profit organisation.

The fest aims at fostering a spirit of team work in all its participants and kindling a sense of responsibility in them regarding various social causes. The core idea supported by the fest is that for the growth of an individual, the growth of the society and the nation as a whole is equally important. Therefore, the event encourages the participants to give back to the community in different ways to allow the constant development of our nation.

The fest plays a significant role in making the youth of our country more socially active and responsible. It provides the nudge to do something for the society and the well-being of others.
