It takes a group of spirited and motivated citizens to transform the government’s vision of making India cleaner and greener into a reality.

Promoting and supporting the “Swachh Bharat” campaign formulated by our honorable Prime Minister is a group of enthusiastic and creative Punekars who are on a mission to declutter and beautify the city. Known as the Swachh Pune – Swachh Bharat group on Facebook, this team of youngsters has been spreading awareness against littering in the city of Pune and has lead various cleanliness drives in the past to clear the garbage from the roads and public places and to make them more aesthetically pleasing.

You too can join these devoted citizens in their mission to make their city a shining example of the Swachh Bharat initiative by participating in the Pune Mega Canvas being organised by the group on Sunday, the 29^th of October. This cleanliness and beautification drive will take place on the New Airport Road, Pune and everyone is invited to make a contribution to the cause by helping with the litter collection and beautification activities. The primary idea behind this drive is to convert the city of Pune into a gigantic canvas, with each corner brought to life by the creative brushstrokes of the citizens.

The vision behind Pune Mega Canvas is to replace the unsightly walls plastered with posters and paan stains with enchanting paintings created by the local artists. If you too have a creative flair and want your artworks to be on display for the whole city to admire then there is no better canvas than the walls of Pune. So sign up to donate your sweat for this wonderful event that takes the concept of a cleanliness drive to the next level and promotes not only the benefits of a cleaner city but also the talent possessed by the citizens of Pune.
