Runathon 2017: A Sprint Towards Social Reform
The Rotary Club of Nigdi Pune is here with the 8th season of Runathon, a half marathon aimed at bringing social reform in the country.
All the proceeds from the run will be utilized to support the underprivileged sections of the society and will be used to contribute to causes such as water conservation, sanitation, public health, and education.
This prestigious half-marathon is known for the difference it makes to the society with the efforts of the organizers and the contribution of the participants. It also serves as a platform for like-minded people who are eager to make a positive difference to the world to come together and mingle with each other. The theme of this year’s run is “Make A Difference” and with the wide range of social causes that the Rotary Club supports, there couldn’t be a more apt theme for the event.
Participants can choose to run the entire 21 km but there are also shorter tracks for corporate participants, children, and senior citizens. The fact that your efforts will make someone’s life more convenient and comfortable with each drop of your sweat is enough motivation to sign up for the event.
From Maternal and Child Care to Community Development and Peace Initiatives, the previous editions of Runathon have made a huge positive impact to the society over the years and this edition is going to be even bigger and better.
So register today to run for the upliftment of the community and the improvement of the infrastructure provided to the underprivileged.
