Swachchhta Abhiyan: Let’s Make Our Beaches Pristine Again
The brainchild of the Young Humanity Foundation, Swachhchta Abhiyan is a cleanliness drive being organised at Juhu Beach, to clean up the litter and make the beach pristine and beautiful again.
The beaches of coastal India are some of the most precious gifts of nature to our country and it is our duty to keep them clean and litter-free.
The Juhu Beach is not just an iconic landmark of Mumbai but also a striking tourist attraction that receives a lot of footfall every day. Unfortunately, this popularity of the beach has lead to the accumulation of a lot of garbage and waste material on the sea shore, which not only dampens the aesthetic beauty of the beach but also poses a threat to marine life.
We urge you to sign up for the Swachhchta Abhiyan to restore the former glory of Mumbai’s most enchanting beach. Human negligence is what has led to the degradation of the beach and the surrounding area and therefore it is our responsibility to reverse the damage caused to this natural spectacle.
Juhu Beach not only represents the natural beauty that the country possesses but is also a symbol of the spirit of Mumbai. Let us not display to the world our carelessness and ignorance in the form of the piles of garbage at the beach. Let us instead show them that we care for our natural resources by cleaning up the beach as a part of the Swachhchta Abhiyan.
