World Health Day is celebrated on 7th April, to raise public health awareness across the globe. It is done under the supervision of the World Health Organization, as well as other related health organizations. This day is celebrated all over the globe by the government, non-government, NGO’S and various other health organizations to create awareness about public health issues. Health authorities from different nations come together to take part and celebrate it with their pledges, in order to support the health issues faced globally.

WHO is known to regulate international, regional and local events on that day, related to a particular theme.  As it is celebrated on a global scale under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization, a huge number of people participate voluntarily. Every individual can create awareness, by considering some of these Volunteering ideas for World Health Day.

1) Inspire

You can inspire people all over the globe, by telling them success stories on surgeries and encouraging them to fight against any disorder.  At least half of the world’s population is currently unable to obtain essential health services; you need to inspire them to focus on increasing life expectancy by staying healthy. The government and private health organizations are trying their best to provide affordable health services to the population.

2) Guide/ Participate

You can inspire and raise public awareness of various causes and prevention of various conditions like high blood pressure, cancer, and many other health conditions, and to provide them with detailed knowledge of getting prevented from various diseases and their complications. The important part of inspiring is that you should promote self-care and self-love. You can also enhance awareness of diabetes as a disease, its consequences and risk factors, and the increasing number of persons who have it worldwide. You can guide them to go for walks and be happy about life.  You can ask them to participate in health campaigns along with their family, so that they can also be a part of the prestigious campaign.

3) Raise a Voice

You can raise a voice to protect families living in areas vulnerable to diseases and children who are suffering from malnutrition. You can teach travelers and send a message to understand the symptoms of any disease while travelling and how can they cure it. You can also participate in awareness campaigns and raise your voice to help people understand the consequences and risks of the particular disease they are suffering from.

The government and private health organizers are trying hard to avail more treatments at an affordable cost. Hence, they are noticing achievement, with life expectancy doubling up, and the rate of infant mortality and crude death declining.

Let’s join hands together for World Health Day, volunteering to create a better world.
